Billing terms you should know
- Currency and tax. Prices are in Indian Rupees and include Goods and Services Tax at the applicable rate. If you buy from outside India the price may be shown in a supported foreign currency, and your bank may add conversion or cross border charges.
- When it starts. This is a digital product, so nothing is shipped. Your plan activates immediately on successful payment, and in any case within 30 minutes, on the account you were signed in with. A receipt is emailed to you within 24 hours.
- Auto renewal. Where you authorise a recurring mandate, the plan renews for the same duration at the price then in effect. You get advance notice of every renewal charge, in line with Reserve Bank of India rules for e mandates.
- Cancellation. Turn off auto renewal any time from Profile, then Subscription. It is free, it stops all future charges, and your benefits continue until the end of the paid term.
- Refunds. Subscription fees are non refundable once the plan is activated. If a payment fails, is charged twice, or does not activate your plan, we put it right. See Cancellation and refunds.
- Unused benefits. Super likes and boosts granted in a billing period do not carry over, are not transferable and have no cash value.
- Upgrades. When you upgrade mid term, the remaining value of the current plan is adjusted against the new plan.
- Payments. Payments made on our website are processed by Razorpay. Chikooya never stores your card number, CVV or UPI PIN.
- App store purchases. If you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by that store under its own policy.
- Price changes. A price change never applies to a term you have already paid for. You will be told in advance and can decline by cancelling.
- What a badge means. A verified badge confirms that our automated photo verification passed. It is not a background check and not an endorsement of any member.
